Get him out of here (HOOK-HANDED Abu Hamza)

HOOK-HANDED Abu Hamza is STILL in Britain — exactly a year after The Sun called for him to be booted out.

British taxpayers are having to foot a monster bill for over £1MILLION to get rid of the Muslim fanatic.

The cost of allowing the hook-handed cleric to remain here is soaring week after week — prompting angry MPs to demand WHY it is taking so long to boot him out.

It is exactly 12 months since The Sun called for Hamza, 46, to be deported but he is still spongeing off the UK — while ranting against it at the same time.

Costs include £250,000 on policing, with 12 officers detailed to corral the self-styled sheik at his weekly roadside meetings and prevent public disturbances.

Another £500,000 is being used to fund a round-the-clock MI5 surveillance operation, with agents watching his every move.

It is likely to cost another £250,000 in legal bills to finally get him thrown out because he has told his legal team to fight Home Secretary David Blunkett’s order to have him deported.

On top of that he is raking in benefits of £1,030.65 a week.

Hook ... vile ravings Technically the money goes to his wife Nagat Mostafa, 44, and his seven children, who live rent-free in a £350,000 house in Shepherd’s Bush, West London, which would cost £600 a week.

Mrs Mostafa alone receives benefits totalling £430.65 a week, or £22,393.80 a year.

A year ago today The Sun called for Egyptian-born Hamza to be kicked out under the headline: Sling Your Hook.

And even HE finds it incredible he is still here.

Official red tape has moved so slowly that Hamza is still free to walk the streets and preach his vile ravings against the West, particularly Britain and the US.

He is banned from preaching inside the Finsbury Park Mosque in North London but still holds meetings in the street on Fridays.

He normally arrives in a Mercedes limo and cops have to seal the road with barriers for him and his mask-wearing followers.

Hamza, who claims he lost both hands and an eye in Afghanistan, has stayed on here despite describing this country as an “obscenity”.

Last night Shadow Home Secretary David Davis said: “This is a man who backs terrorists, incites racial hatred and applauds acts of mass murder.

“He should be on the first plane back to Egypt.”

Labour MP Andrew Dinsmore added: “I cannot understand why this man is still here. It makes the law a laughing stock.”

Hamza is to face a Special Immigration Appeals Commission on April 19.

He was served with deportation papers in April last year and faces the boot under the new Immigration and Asylum Act which became law that month.

A district judge will rule on whether to revoke Hamza’s citizenship following the hearing.

A Home Office spokesman said: “The problem is that much of the evidence is intelligence-related and there is no other court that can deal with the case.”

It has been said that Hamza’s claim to citizenship, through marriage to Englishwoman Valerie Traverso, is void because she was already wed to another man.

Hamza’s initial bid to fund his legal battle with taxpayers’ cash was rejected.

But his legal team has prolonged the fight by taking out a judicial review.

And he could still appeal to the Court of Appeal or the Lords, which could drag on for years.

Hamza’s lawyer Muddassar Irani refused to discuss his case yesterday, saying: “It is a question of client confidentiality.”

But Inaya Banglawala, spokesman for the Muslim Council of Great Britain, said: “This man has alienated the public from Muslims with his vile rants.

“British Muslims are growing impatient that he is still able to tarnish them with these remarks.

“He is not welcome at any mosque in the country and we have nothing to do with him.”

Hamza came here at 21 to study civil engineering, wore Western clothes and worked as a Soho nightclub bouncer.

He went to Afghanistan in 1990 to join the fight against Soviet occupation and on his return in 1994 set up Supporters of Shari’a, a group which aims to establish worldwide Islamic rule.

He has played a crucial role in brain-washing young Muslim men into joining Osama Bin Laden’s cause and sending them to al-Qa’ida camps in Afghanistan.

Last May the Government named Hamza as a key figure behind Islamic extremism in Britain.

He is also wanted for questioning by the US and Yemen.

Hamza, who claims he lost both hands and an eye in Afghanistan, has stayed on here despite describing this country as an “obscenity”.

It's also said that he lost both hands and one eye in a failed bomb-making attempt years ago. That could explain his injuries.

Jeepers! I thought our INS was bad for not catching up to the many illegals and deporting their posteriors, but England's equivalent to the INS takes the cake.
