Well, speaking of first ladies, what's Edward's wife like?

Edwards is the one I'm a little concerned about, because of his southern roots. I can still remember my best friend's mom back in high school, (a lovely conservative woman) asking me why I didn't support Jimmy Carter, since he was a nice southern boy. There are still people around like that.

I still think Bush will wipe the floor with Edwards in any debates. But I WAS sort of looking forward to Bush disecting Dean.

"...what's Edward's wife like?"

She was interviewed on 60 Minutes (or one of those) when Edwards was on. She is probably at least 5 years older than he...and looks like she's about 20 years older! She admitted that it's tough at times because he DOES look younger than he is, and she looks older than she is! They had two kids, 14 and 17 (approximate) and the son was killed in a car wreck. They were just destroyed (I can only imagine how awful that was for them...), and decided to have a couple more kids. She had to take some hormone shots, or whatever it is you do to become more fertile when you're older. At any rate, she did get pregnant twice, and the kids are probably 5 and 3. She joked that she had gotten her AARP card (at 50) while she was in the hospital having one of the babies. I would guess she's between 52-55 now. A little heavy, dark hair, a little dowdy. He gives the impression that he adores her!
