I think it's a bad idea if Dean got the nomination.
If he did, the media would promote his leftist ideas, particularly our surrender in Iraq. This would encurage whatever dead-enders are there, and other terrorists to hang on.
In 72, the anti-war McGovern lost badly to Nixon. But within a couple of years, Nixon had been run out of DC by doing things that were perfectly normal under JFK and LBJ.
That was the beginning of the lefts takeover of the Democratic party.
For the country, I hope the Dems nominate the candidate who could come closest to winning. I think that's Edwards. Who is smart enough to know that we can't leave Iraq and hand a victory to terrorists who would understand that the US is just a paper tiger.
A Dean candidacy could be a tragedy, even if Bush wins.
I'd prefer a Lieberman candicacy. He couldn't win, but he understands the USs position in the world. But since Lieberman won't get the nomination, the next best would be Edwards.
Just remember, lightning might just strike if Dean runs. Because however slight the chance, he might win it.

True, that is a possibility, however slim.
However my main concern is knocking Clark out of the race ASAP. Not because I think he has a chance against Bush, because he's just as insane and pathological as Dean. But my concern is the longer he is in, the more credibility he gets, and he is giving a very bad image to our military leadership. If he got the nomination, as a decorated general, he would do serious harm to our troops' morale as a representative of the military.
The damage Clark is doing to our military is far more dangerous than anything Dean may say as the Democrat's nominee.

Edwards would be a nightmare. The soccer mom's are already falling all over themselves, he's "so dreamy". He's got his two cute kids to exploit and he's from the South.
Not to mention, he's a slick trial lawyer that knows how to debate.
Women vote, in large numbers. And he WILL toe the Clinton line.
Edwards is a nightmare.
Go Dean!

That doesn't make any sense.

I agree, the Dems will be motivated no matter who the nominee is with the exception of Lieberman
