What is Fred's problem. We were thrilled with the speech.
For personal reasons, we're in sort of a bad mood in my household this evening and I was really not looking forward to this speech.
He inspired me and lifted me up and made me believe in the good in people and the country.
That he could do that, this evening, is a minor miracle.

Pelosi's wide-eyed look and ricktus smile reminded me of the aged Gloria Swanson, ready for the camera shot.

The speech was great, worth ten points except his numbers are already so high I don't know if it will be ten. Only, he did not give the speech for points. He believes what he says.

Someone else hit the nail on the head - 1st half was awesome, where he SPANKED the dems, the second half was somewhat weak... overall, a SOLID performance.

Perhaps the Weakly Standard has already written off the speech on misinformation and now Barnes is stuck!
Other than Brit, I am sick of FNC.....

I LOVE the way Brit Hume spanked More Kondracke on the difference between entitlements and tax cuts. He SPANKED him. Brit is fantastic, as is Tony Snow!

"What is Fred's problem. We were thrilled with the speech." I hate to point this out, but Fred works for the Weakly Standard as does Bill Kristol. I've found Kristol really lacking as an commentator for the last three years. Apparentely, Fred's jumped on Billy's bandwagon. I'm sorry to see this from Fred.
