A new song released by a popular Egyptian singer claims the U.S. deliberately caused the destruction of the World Trade Center towers to make Arabs look bad.
Sha'ban Abd Al-Rahim's new album recently was reviewed in the Cairo Times. The article was translated by the Washington, D.C.-based Middle East Media Research Institute.
Al Rahim's song "Kharittat Al Tariq" ("Road Map") includes the line, "Hey, people, it was only a tower, and I swear by God that they [the U.S.] are the ones who pulled it down."
According to the published review, the song, which focuses on the Middle East road map peace plan, puts to music popular notions in Egypt about Israel, the Iraq war and September 11.
The song describes how "America is the spitting image of Israel and it carries out its desires, making the world into a 'jungle.' But it does not stop at that point. Abd Al-Rahim goes on to boldly sing that the USA is the perpetrator of the September 11th attacks," reports the Cairo paper.
"Al-Rahim further sings that they purposely did it to make people think that Arabs and Muslims are terrorists and were behind that disaster. Now the U.S. can do what it pleases to the Arab world since everyone thinks they are to blame."
The song also mentions President Bush, quoting from some of his speeches. One line states, "Sometimes [Bush] says Iran and sometimes he says Syria," and "He shortens his speech if someone says Korea."
Al-Rahim's chief songwriter, who previously wrote hits entitled, "I Hate Israel" and "Striking Iraq," penned the road map song.
"The album includes another nine songs that reflect the mood of the Egyptian street... Despite the fact that the album has not been released yet, the road map song has been a success on the music scene. Abd Al-Rahim has been doing publicity for his new song by singing it at wedding parties and in TV interviews," the Cairo Times reported.
One fan named Muhammad, who has memorized the lyrics of "Road Map," said, "To me, this is the first public and daring accusation made against America concerning the September 11th attacks, and the song will soon be the No. 1 hit in the Arab world."

Exchanging lances
Wondering in the night
What are the chances
They will still be living

Now why is it again that we give these people $2 billion a year? To hide the fact that our real objective is to make arabs look bad.

" ... to make people think that Arabs and Muslims are terrorists ..."They accomplished that themselves a few millenia ago (and have done nothing to change that perception, IMO).

My singer can beat their singer.

American girls and American guys will always stand up and salute;
Will always recognize
When we see ol' glory flying,
There's a lot of men dead,
So we can sleep in peace at night when we lay down our head.
My daddy served in the army,
Where he lost his right eye.
But he flew a flag out in our yard 'til the day that he died.
He wanted my mother, my brother, my sister and me
To grow up and live happy in the land of the free.
Now this nation that I love has fallen under attack.
A mighty sucker punch came flying in from somewhere in the back.
Soon as we could see clearly through our big black eye,
Man we lit up your world like the Fourth of July.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list,
And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly,
And there's gonna be Hell,
When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell!
It's gonna feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you...
Brought to you courtesy of the Red, White and Blue!
Oh, Justice will be served and the battle will rage.
This big dog will fight when you rattle his cage
You'll be sorry that you messed with the US of A
'Cuz we'll put a boot in your ass
It's the American way.
Hey Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list,
And the Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist.
And the eagle will fly,
And there's gonna be Hell,
When you hear Mother Freedom start ringing her bell!
And it'll feel like the whole wide world is raining down on you...

"Sha'ban Abd Al-Rahim" must be Arabic for "Butt Ugly." I think it means "Michael Moore with contacts and a shave".

Democrat presidential nominee Lyndon LaRouche was among the first to suggest back in 2001 that it was "Timothy McVeigh types" who hijacked the planes on 9.11.
AntiAmericanism can be found around the world. The French put several books on the bestsellers list that told how there was no plane involved in the attack on the Pentagon.
Michael Moore has made a lucrative career selling antiAmericanism abroad. Just take a look at the foreign Amazon.com sites (amazon.co.uk, amazon.fr, etc.) to see how his work is packaged overseas. There's always a "patriotic" Red White and Blue on the cover to let people know that America's critic is trashing his homeland again. Michael Moore even entertained notions that 9.11 was an inside hit job and asked for people to send him emails telling what they knew.
Treason and sedition are subjects that people are not comfortable talking about seriously. Then again, I am uncomfortable when I see anarachists advocating the overthrow of the U.S. form of government (as described in the Constitution) and then using the Constitution to claim "free speech". Socialist-anarchists do not want a government composed of 3 branches. They are antigovernment.
People of other nations have spoken out against the American government. People of other nations cheered the 9.11.2001 attacks. I have heard no ad campaigns denouncing the Islamofascists who attacked on 9.11 and who kidnap, murder, and create terror around the world. They may be a splinter faction from "peaceful" muslism but then again I hear no outrage that their religion has been hijacked. Only antiAmerican statements that Americans shouldn't be haters, shouldn't discriminate, shouldn't assume that everyone feels this way...

We really shouldn't blame these people.
After all, they're just a bunch of ignorant, stupid WOGs, hopelessly stuck in the 7th Century and flailing away at a civilization they could never create. We can't really expect them to think like 21st Century human beings with plumbing, can we?

Al-Rahim's chief songwriter, who previously wrote hits entitled, "I Hate Israel" And meanwhile American journalists would rather attack Mel Gibson over the "antisemitic" film The Passion.

Exactly! The Arabs made themselves look bad all by their lonesomes.
Now they want to deceive themselves further with this sort of ignorant and stupid denial.
Can we stop trying to be nice and blow these suckers away? Do we really care if we tick anyone off? Should we?
