Teresa Simoes-Ferreira was born and raised in Mozambique in east Africa. The Kerry's own several homes. They are the peoples candidate? Beacon Hill in Boston, Martha's Vineyard, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. They use more energy per day than any 30 Democrat families. Do they use private aircraft to fly into Martha's Vineyard? Yes they do. They are elitists pretending to be for the common man while holding their noses when they move through the crowds.

Yes, it's hard for me to believe that the Democrats would nominate another Massachusetts liberal as their candidate. They would be totally writing off the Southern vote, which they can't afford to do.

Even with Graham on the ticket, I don't think Florida would be a sure thing.

Ambrose, I agree with your point, but I can name one such example- William Jefferson Blythe Clinton. And there is the other side of the equation, which is a president who lost re-election who wouldn't have if he had a worse opponent.

In 1992, Bush ran horribly and Clinton ran brilliantly. It was a referendum on the previous four years, which were good years actually but the skilled challenger managed to spin that they were awful years.

Then in 1996, a wounded and vulnerable candidate was able to beat a candidate who saved his best face for Visa commercials after the election was over.

But I do agree with your point because I don't see a single Democrat running capable of distorting voters' reality to the point where the referendum on Bush is based on a false perception of reality. It will be about the Bush record, and mostly about the real Bush record. What the Democrats do from this point on is not really going to change things. What will change things is how the economy goes, how Iraq goes, and if Bush avoids scandals.

I'll take any special interest group that would court Bush over Planned Parenthood, PETA, Sierra Club, ELF, Greenpeace, NAACP, labor unions, NEA and all the other nut case special interests that ARE the DemocRATs.

All Bush has to do to lose this election is to keep supporting the invasion of America by the Mexicans who have ruined their own country and want to start on ours. A lot of my friends, staunch Republicans, state that they'll forego their vote rather than support Bush if he maintains his stand on this issue.

My instincts tell me the Dems, if the Dems field Kerry/Clark combination they will try and negate Bush foreign policy based on confronting Bush and Cheney on their lack of military record and in contrast to their (Kerry/Clark that is) military achievements.

Bush and Cheney fought two successful wars: Afghanistan and Iraq.

Clark won't be the VP nominee; he's too arrogant to take the second spot.

I was just reading through our emails. One was from Amazon. Today, a day after the Kerry win in Iowa, we receive an advertisement from AMAZON.com for John Kerry's book, Tour of Duty, and I gotta wonder about the timing. Talk about an advertising strategery. Usually, when Amazon sends one of these solicitations, they list several books. Today, the only one listed is Kerry's book. Hmmmmm.
