Dean has been used, perhaps, by the media opinion molders, who wanted him to be depicted as "inevitable" and "unstoppable." Maybe it was a con from the start. Dean tried to con them, and they instead conned Dean.

There's always going to be that 34% who will never vote for a certain candidate. Geoff Fieger got that, and he even lost Ann Arbor, a 70%+ dem city. That's because he was a complete ass. Another 10% or so ALMOST never vote for a certain candidate.

But on the same note with the job troubles, he was there. He's from Washington. He backed NAFTA and GATT. He's part of the problem.(a reason governor's win).

Our Dean win predictions sucked. We should both eat crow and just admit we are flawed as prognosticators, particularly when it comes to Dem primaries. Among other things, the Dems are smarter than we thought. They went for the two strongest possible opponents to Bush I think.
