I have to cede a point to my wife. She said last week Edwards would do well among women. The hair and the drawl.I think Edwards is running a campaign patterned exactly after Clinton's. I heard a sound bite of him today and he kept throwing around the word "change" without really saying what "change" he's proposing, just like Clinton in 92.

Some thoughts:
1. Iowa has 7 ELECTORAL VOTES
2. New Hampshire has 4 ELECTORAL VOTES
3. More than $28 million has been depleted from the Presidential Election Fund so far (projection through the General Election is more than $250 million).
4. Only 11% of those who file a 1040 checked YES for the Presidential Election Fund. This shows little support for public funding of campaigns.
5. No one gets elected to office in the Primary.
6. The airwaves have been polluted for the past year by the Democrap dwarves who were used as props for the media pimps of the Election Industry!

I'm not sure what happens to the money. I still think Dean will do well in New Hampshire though so it probably doesn't matter.

I agree with you about Gephardt - it's good that he's done. Yes and if I could speak to him, I'd tell him his campaign was A MISERABLE FAILURE .
To: George W. Bush
Carter, in the Atlanta papers today, SPECIFALLY said he did NOT endorse Dean.
Further, Carter explicitly (on the record!) said that Dean did NOT get invited to "attend church" with the Carters, but that Deam "invited himself" to go to the church with the Carters.
He (Carter) was "not happy" with Dean taking advantage of the photographers and press..... But that is reading betweenthe lines.

I'll be glad when Gephardt disappears, because nobody here could accurately spell his name more than 10% of the time.

Susan Estrich on Fox: Dean is now running ads in NH that he's "an independent, moderate governor of a neighboring State."
Yeah but you get face to face with the nutcase: "You sit down now! It's my turn to speak, you dumb American voter! I'm from New England, I know what's best for you!"

DGIH, clueless. Totally clueless. This is the group who will be cheering loudly at the Dem. Convention, even as they hold their signs upside down. Clueless. ROTFLOL! ;-D

somebody console Willie Nelson with some good dope. Giving Willie some pot would be like giving Michael Moore a tub of butter. He'd accept it and appreciate it. But it's not like he really needs it.

Gephart won't leave the House, just the campaign trail. Don't be so sure... He took a lot of heat when they had a miserable election year in 2002, and was replaced by a plastic dingbat who is in over her head. It just doesn't get any worse than that. I think this guy will go the way of Tom Foley, Jim Wright and Dan Rostenkowski.

Listen to these people on MSNBC: they hated the war, but it's okay for Kerry to have voted for it because -- and I quote -- "he voted that way based on the information HE HAD BEEN GIVEN at that time."
