PASADENA, Md., Jan. 19 /U.S. Newswire/ -- http://www.Peroutka2004.com is the Web address for Michael Anthony Peroutka who is seeking the Presidential nomination of the Constitution Party. His themes are "God-Family-Republic." He believes, as George Washington did, that it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge God by obeying Him. He believes that true marriage is God-created, between a man and woman only and requires the approval of no government. And he wants to restore our original representative Constitutional republic -- which was never a "democracy."

One of five children of Anthony and Elizabeth Peroutka, Michael has served as a law partner with his brother, Stephen, for the past eighteen years in the Pasadena, Maryland law firm of Peroutka and Peroutka, P.A.. During that time he has been active in pro- life issues and has assisted and founded many organizations including "The Institute on the Constitution" that seeks to educate Americans about their own history, heritage and form of government. It was his passion for learning about and restoring Constitutional government in his home state that led him to the Constitution Party and its dedication to principle over politics.

A graduate of Loyola College in Maryland and the University of Baltimore School of Law, Michael has been active in the Constitution Party for several years and currently serves as Chairman of the Constitution Party of Maryland and is on the Executive Committee of the National Party.

Early in his professional career Michael found himself unwittingly involved in a vast criminal enterprise - an experience which dramatically altered his life's work and helped to chart the path to his intended candidacy for public office. While employed at the United States Department of Health and Human Services as a young attorney, Michael realized that none of the programs on which he was working were authorized by the United States Constitution and were therefore unlawful.

Michael lives with his wife, Diane, and their children, Timothy, Patrick and Elizabeth in Millersville, Md. He is a Bible-believing Christian.

Do agree agree with NEal Boortz on what he said today--
"I have never bought into the arguement that voting your
conscious is a wasted vote."Not confident Bush would be a stronger or better leader in term two. Thinking about a
write in of Roy S.Moore--but am keeping my options open.
Thanks for the post.do like what I 've read thus far.

"I have never bought into the arguement that voting your conscious is a wasted vote."
--Neal Boortz

"If you vote for what you don't believe in, you will never get what you want."
--Howard Phillips

The Constitution Party had approached Roy Moore about running in 2004 on the Constitution Party ticket, but he said that he had no intentions of running for President. I'm afraid if he did, the media would try to say that he used the ten commandments in Alabama to get the spotlight for a political campaign.

The Constitution Party of Pennsylvania has announced that it will be hosting Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore and former UN Ambassador Alan Keyes at its Biblical Foundations of American Law Conference, which will be held on Saturday, January 24, in Lancaster.

In addition to Moore and Keyes, Howard Phillips of the Conservative Caucus and Michael Peroutka of the Institute on the Constitution have also been invited to attend the conference.

Michael Peroutka is currently the party's designated "provisional" Presidential candidate for 2004. Party founder and three-time Presidential nominee Howard Phillips has already endorsed Peroutka for the nomination. I wouldn't be suprised to see Alan Keyes and Roy Moore endorse Peroutka.

It might have been better if Boortz had used the word "conscience," though.

The 'bots seem to have no reply other than the "he can't win" mantra. And of course the only reason "he can't win" is because of the constant repitition of the 'bots saying "he can't win".

I'm going to vote for the candidate I want to be President. Period.

Peroutka has no provisions for the war on terror; he'd let al Qaeda beat us like a red-headed stepchild.

We already had plenty of that under Clinton.

I'm going to vote for the candidate I want to be President. Period.

And that is the point- If everyone voted for who they REALLY would like to see as president, after analizing which candidate most represents their views and beliefs, then many election results would be far different.

Now- the 2000 election might have gone to Gore if conservatives had voted their concience - but then again, GW presented himself as a real conservative, so maybe we did vote for the right person.

But we are now almost 4 years later, and GW has shown himself to be a conservative on only a few select issues, acting more like a liberal in many regards.

So, here we are with a new election. Are there enough REAL conservatives who are willing to vote by their beliefs to elect Mr. Peroutka or another "3rd party" candidate? That remains to be seen.

I truly have mixed feelings. My conscience tells me to vote for the person who TRULY represents my beliefs. Although GW has been better than the alternative in the last election, he has proven that he does not represent me on many fronts.

You don't know that. In fact it's just the opposite. Peroutka would pull our troops out of Europe so that we would have more to protect our real interests. He would not nation build in KOsovo and elsewhere. That would make us stronger. It is Ws commitment to globalism (still not as bad as the Dems on this) that is getting us overextended. Peroutka would enhance our security more than Bush has. We KNOW W will cave to the hordes of illegals overunning our country, just like he is now doing.

I do know that. Where in his platform is there any mention of the war on terror?

No, there aren't enough conservatives to elect Mr. Peroutka, but I think that he'll get a higher percentage of the vote than Howard Phillips got in 2000. I've heard many calls, on radio talk shows, from conservatives, who are mad at President Bush because he's too liberal.
If I thought that my state, Illinois, was a swing state, I would vote for Bush because I don't want to help split the conservative vote, helping the Democrat. However, I don't think that Bush will win Illinois. In 2002, Sen. Durbin, a liberal Democrat, received 68% of the vote (12% more than he got in 1996). Illinois elected a Democrat for governor for the first time in 30 years. I'll vote for Mr. Peroutka, and I'll encourage other conservatives, in this state, to vote for him.

If Peroutka properly markets his message on income tax relief, he could appeal to moderates and even who desire to have more financial freedom. It is up to him and conservatives who support him to convey this. Peroutka would put Bush and Kerry to shame in an "Income Tax Calculator" contest.
