Martz' decision was stupid...he played for the tie. He played not to lose.
Levy's decision was a smart one...he played to win and thought he had a capable kicker in that situation.
Norwood blew it...bigtime.
Are you related to Norwood? Can't you admit he blew it? A kisker in the SB should be able to make a 47yd field goal...the conditions are always perfect. Hell, Steve Christie made a 54yarder a few years later.

Hell, Steve Christie made a 54 yarder a few years later. If you go back to 1990 and look at the two teams that were matched up, you'll see that the kicker for the Giants was a much-traveled veteran named Matt Bahr. He was a fairly accurate kicker (and a real "character" player, too -- he made a name for himself that year by usually being the first tackler down the field on kickoffs), but was only 5 of 11 from 40 yards and out (5/9 from 40-49, and 0/2 from 50+). If the game were on the line and the roles of the two teams were reversed, Bill Parcells would never let it come down to a 47-yard field goal attempt unless there was no other alternative.
