I think a lot of people are missing the real point...was there a label warning about the risk of death on the merry-go-round? If not, both the manufacturer and the park will be sued for big bucks for negligence. Was the access to the rides carefully controlled? Did everyone involved sign the appropriate waivers?

The really scary thing, was that my sarcasm is dangerously close to reality.

I never thought I'd live to see the day when you'd have to put a governor on a merry-go-round. Maybe a hydraulic clutch would work.

No, I'm not. If you ever watched shows like Jackass you may understand. These morons doing these stunts, like sitting in a shopping cart and have two of their stage hands push them into curbs, while the camera watchs the dummy in the cart skid across the pavement teeth and face first, is just completely irrisponsible.

They know damn well some dumb 15 years olds are going to mimic this sh*t. It happens all the time. There is no need to broadcast this bullsh*t.

Show like that have nothing to offer but stupidity, and pending tragedy.

Forget sarcasm, you are dead on. There will be a suit against the park for inadequate security around the ride. Attractive nuisance doctrine. Same way owners of swimming pools can be sued if a kid climbs in and drowns, even though the kid was trespassing at the time.

That's how the lawyers will spin this.... :)

If there is a way for lawyers to make a lot of money out of this, they will.

You forgot to add:

Users of this ride are required to wear helmets at all times.

: )
