Oh great. He murders a woman by stabbing her repeatedly, but they're going to refer the case to a bunch of shrinks to determine if he really meant to kill her. Who is goimg to evaluate the shrinks first? In fact, who could you find that's crazier than a bunch of shrinks in the first place.
If he's found guilty the Swedes will just take away a week or two of his yearly 12 weeks vacation as "punishment" anyhow.

If it's decided that he should be sent to a psychiatric facility rather than prison, he will likely have to remain there longer than if he's convicted of manslaughter. The general concern regularly expressed via Swedish TV right now is that 20 percent of the residents of psychiatric facilities are there because they were convicted of a crime and ordered to be there by the courts - which they don't believe is properly accounted for in their budgets; thus, there is no room for other patients. i.e. if you feel a need to get in, the way to get there is by committing a crime.
