It is no mistake to fight honorably in a cause you believe to be just. Defeat does not mean dishonor; betrayal, however, does. For Lee to have waged war against Virginia would indeed have been dishonorable.

As for Arlington? The shame there is that it was taken from the Lees. That is a blot on our mutual honor, and detracts from the honor won by many who now rest there.

You have been sold a "bill of goods," by those who are trying to sytematically undermine the American sense of heritage. (See Civil War, Reconstruction & Creating Hate In America Today.)
