What makes you think that the D's and R's aren't doing what the general electorate wants?
If I recall waaaay back in 2000, and I know that's a loooong way back to remember, the majority of the electorate voted for either Al Gore or Ralph Nader.
What do you thing that shows?
Nah, the reported totals just said they did. We've yet to figure out how many dead people, dogs and cats, and goldfish voted. ;-) (Voting machine in my trunk??? Hey, how'd that get there?!?!?!?!?)
I know what you mean, but what we are talking about here is what is left to do by the electorate who doesn't want what the D's and R's are doing, albeit they don't want the D's A LOT more than they don't want the R's.
They could vote the R's no matter what, but then the R's would have absolutely no reason to pay any attention to these people, as long as the R's knew these people will continue to vote for R's no matter what.
As to what I think that shows? Hopefully not that people really felt that way deep down, but that that people were asleep at the switch before 9/11.
