GOP PRIMARY PROTEST VOTE
e-mail from Citizens Lobby | 1/18/2004 | Unknown

Posted on 01/19/2004 6:17:00 AM PST by JimRed

If your state is holding a "primary" vote for the Republican candidate for president, Citizens Lobby strongly urges you to cast a "blank" ballot -- OR write in a candidate of your choice.

We recommend Tom Tancredo, Ron Paul, Pat Buchanan or Alan Keyes...

President Bush needs a wake call and your vote is a great way to send him a message.

It's been posted before, but it's worth posting again. HERE ARE JUST A FEW OF PRESIDENT BUSH'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

Killed the KYOTO GLOBAL WARMING TREATY which would have pus the US economy into a disastrious decline.

Stopped Clinton's "ergonomic" rules that OSHA was about to implement; rules that would have shut down every home business in America.

Stopped the US-CCCP ABM Treaty that prevented the US from deploying our ABM defenses.

Began construction of the first 10 ABM silos in Alaska so American has a defense against North Korean nukes.

Pushed through three (3) raises for our military.

Signed Executive Order reversing Clinton's policy of not requiring parental consent for abortions under Medical Privacy Act.

Fighting a successful War on Terror by getting world wide cooperation to shut down terror funding. Captured many key leaders of alQaeda and other terror networks.

Led the nation through two wars, Afghanistan and Iraq, freeing 50 million people who had lived under tyrannical regimes.

In the process of disarming Libya of chemical, nuclear and biological WMD’s little bloodshed and non bribes.

Signed TWO bills into law allowing our pilots to carry handguns in the cockpit.

Pushing for immunity from lawsuits for our national gun manufacturers. Told the United Nations we weren’t interested in their plans for gun control (i.e. the International Ban on Small Arms Trafficking Treaty)

Brought back our EP-3 intel plane and crew from China without bribes or bloodshed.

Signed the largest nuclear arms reduction in world history with Russia.

Changed the White House into a respectable place. Restored Honor and Dignity to the Presidency.

Began Dept. of Homeland Security after 9/11 by condensing 20-plus overlapping agencies and their intelligence sectors.

Initiated discussion on private medical accounts, and possibly private Social Security accounts.

TAX CUTS !! Turned around economy which was in recession in 2001 when he took office.

Orchestrated continued Republican control of the House and Senate.

Trying to push through conservative federal judges while stopping the liberal ABA’s role in promoting woosy, liberal federal judges.

Passed tough new laws to punish corporate criminals, most of whom pillaged their respective businesses during the GoGo 1990s when the SEC cared little about corporate malfeasance.

Reduced taxes on dividens and capital gains.

In process of eliminating IRS marriage penalty. Increased small business incentives to expand and hire new people.

Signed into law the No Child Left Behind legislation, delivered the most dramatic education reforms in a generation, challenging the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Committed US funds to battle AIDS in Africa, which is killing millions of men, women and children.

Passed Medicare Reform, authorized $39.5 billion per year for preventative medicine such as drugs and doctor visits. Includes a ten year privatization option.

Urging federal liability reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits.

Supports class action reform bill which limits lawyer fees so more settlement money goes to victims.

Submitted comprehensive Energy Plan to Congress, which would produce more oil and gas here at home while developing cleaner technology energy.

Challenged the United Nations to live up to their responsibilities and not become irrelevant.

Changed forest management Act to allow necessary clean-up of national forests, thereby reducing fire danger.

Signed the workplace verification bill in attempt to prevent hiring of illegal immigrants.

MORE ACCOMPLISHMENT POSTINGS ARE WELCOME

You Bush haters should try this.  .  You'll need all the good luck you can find this year as Bush's immigration reform is signed into law and he wins reelection.

Singaporeans Urged to Act Like Monkeys
Singaporeans could foster an economic recovery this year by behaving more like monkeys, Deputy Prime Minister Tony Tan said in a Lunar New Year message reported in The Straits Times newspaper. Chinese communities around the world will herald the start of the Year of the Monkey on Thursday. Chinese believe the monkey is clever, flexible, innovative and confident, but can also be selfish, jealous and vain."Be like a monkey. When things happen, you have to be nimble. Take advantage of opportunities, don't be cast down, but rise to the challenge if it does occur," Tan was quoted as saying.

Today would be a good day for us to STOP "discussing" this with these people.

They aren't going to change their minds, and, quite frankly, I'm not sure these "My Way Or The Highway Conservatives" even want to elect Bush.

After tonight, we'll have an ELECTION fight on our hands; it's time for conservatives who care about this country to get together, ignore the naysayers, let them fight among themselves about who is the most principled, while we take care of putting people in office who can move OUR agenda forward.

You're right. They wear me down and drain energy from the real task at hand this year.

Well I guess that depends upon what they want..... To bitch and moan or to be effective and win......

I've always thought "glass half empty" people were exceedingly unpleasant company. I've also found that people with negative attitudes generally aren't the most successful.

Weren't there gains in both the House and Senate in 96?

I believe the R's may have lost ground in 96.

I do remember Clinton winning and Schumer and Edwards taking R seats in the senate and I do remember thinking that the electorate had reached a new low with the results.

I believe 96 was bad news. I'll check later.

Well, I don't know! Maybe we could kill some baby seals, or make baby toys with lead paint on them.

Ooops, sorry, can't talk right now. I have to kick my dog!

So, since we are all Americans, there should be no borders between the USA and Mexico? That's what your post says. You dodge a question very well. You should have the courage of your convictions there!

What's funny is that people who want the borders "closed" believe that they are sane, yet not a single one has any concept of what "closed borders" truly means.

Nice spin, but there is a difference between "no borders" and "closed borders".

Jim, do you understand what your forum is becoming? Outright advocation of no borders between the countries.

This is a conservative forum?????
