I kept it to snippets to keep within the excerpts guidelines.

What my question to the FR posters voicing their strong opposition to Bush, to the extent of not wanting to vote for him: Which of the above Dems do you prefer?

In November Bush or one of the above Dems WILL be US President for the next 4 years.

Do you prefer Bush's stand on terrorism, national defense, foreign policy, economy (taxcuts), immigration, or do you prefer the Dems' stand on those issues?

It's going to be either Bush or one of the Dems -- you can read the Dems stand on the issues of illegal immigration in the above article -- recommend reading the entire article, so you get the full impact.

Who do you think will be better for the country overall -- Bush or one of them?

Me: The Democrats are uniformly bad, wanting to end American power, soveriengty and destroy our borders and culture. Amnesty is a surrender to the problem not a solution of it. President Bush's immigration proposal, while not a horrible as the Democrats, is at best a non-solution and could possibly make things worse without improved immigration law enforcement.

Better solutions than all the Democrats and Bush have proposed can be found here:

It might be easier for a republican congress to say NO to a democratic president.....

I can't believe what I am reading, I am healthy enough to know it is ok to disagree and voice it.
There is nothing wrong with strongly disagreeing.

Great article. Please post it again tomorrow so it will get some more traction. Some people on FR went mad about the President immigration plan that they forgot all the other great things he is doing on the war on terror, tax cuts, late term abortion, etc.... Some of our friends on FR need to be reminded that President Bush is far much better that any Democrat running for the White House. We must have President Bush re-elected during the critical moment our history. Bush is the President we must have to lead us in the war on terror. The alternative Democrat will be just a disaster for our nation.

The correct answer is to vote for a third party that espouses individual liberty, adherence to the law (that means no illegals allowed and throw them out), swift retribution to America's enemies, and an end to government largess. I would rather vote for a libertarian, dopey as many of them are, than for the RINO's or Rats.

>>>Who do you think will be better for the country overall -- Bush or one of them?

It is now apparent that a split government is the better choice. A split government would stall this devastating issue. Right now it looks like a vote for having a Republican Congress and a Democrat President. Hopefully this stalemate will stop all incredibly stupid, anti-U.S. legislation, and just might put a lid on current run away spending.

This devastating immigration issue transcends political parties and all other issues. It ranks right below an invasion from Russia or China.

Thanks for updating us on the Democraps (Socialist Party #1). We already knew what the Republicans are proposing (the new Socialist Party #2).

If this immigration thing was brought up well before the closing deadline to run for President, the field might have been different.

What planet is Bush on right now? Well, "read my lips", as a VERY LONG TERM REPUBLICAN I'm not going to vote for him. It now appears he's lost his marbles.

Hoppy

It is evident the only polls these candidates read are the electoral polls - clearly not the opinion polls showing what the majority of potential voters want in terms of immigration policies.

Speaking for myself, if the Republican controlled congress had more spine and resisted Bush's liberal tendencies then voting for Bush would make some sense. But that is not the case here. At this point I'm all for Gridlock and an end to the Bush Family Dynasty in politics. Seen enough of this family already.

On this issue, it makes no difference. All of the comments could have been made by George W. Bush, Republican. No difference anymore between the Dems and the Pubs.

As usual, you are holding your own and then some here, so no use in me jumping in this thread! P.S. I think we can all say that we wish no overtures were being made to illegal aliens....but... P.P.S. Someone should post what Tancredo's overture would be also.

You'd think that one of the dwarves would think to set himself up as pro-labor, pro-low wage worker, pro-environment, anti-crime, anti-deficit, and come out against illegal immigration and monopolize the votes of 85% of the public against illegal immigration, but noooooo....

None of them, Bush included. Because there is no choice, you ask us to reward this treason in Bush just because they are all treasonous? No thanks, I'll pass.
