How much money did you throw away on lavish parties?

Well..girls.....that's what you get when you associate with LIBERAL, COMMIES who could care less about you, but just want to use you (for their financial purposes) until you're used up. And, that's what YOU get when you take on sexually suggestive roles when you're in your 20's-30's.....and make a ton of money off of them. HEEE HAAWWWW. Joke's on you.

Katharine (that's how she spelled her name) Hepburn was indeed a talented actress; winning a record four Academy Awards, along with films like "The Philadelphia Story"-one of my personal Hepburn favorites- is certainly proof of that...and though she wasn't beautiful in the same way as Vivien Leigh, Kate could still hold her own with her classical eyes and chiseled cheekbones.

My wife is a comedy writer/singer who's really into this issue, and what she did was create her own show. She does a live comedy/music cabaret show called "My Ship Has Sailed," filled with song parodies about Botox, plastic surgery, etc., and writes a blog goofing on outrageous news stories on those subjects. She calls age "the last big culturally-acceptable bias" because all the liberals in Hollywood are so ultra-sensitive to any offense to any group, but if you're a woman over 35, they'll call you nasty names and throw you on the scrap heap without a second thought. These women are all wealthy and connected; why can't they do what she did and create their own movies? "Calendar Girls" and "Something's Gotta Give" are currently proving that there's a market for movies with mature adults, so cash in on it already! (BLATANT PLUG ALERT!) Check out Laura's Diary at:

The article is BS.
Jodie Foster is over 40 and so are Michelle Phiffer and Sissy Spacick.
Good actresses find work.
Its the one's who don't have much talent and have screwed their way to fame that get tossed aside.
What a shocker!!!!

They didn't complain when they once got roles only because they were young babes.

Women are judged way more harshly for their looks. It's a Darwinian thing. Women's fertility decreases and stops earlier than men's. Males who prefer beautiful fertile young women get their genes represented more members of future generations. There's selective pressure for women to be beautiful and for men's brains to recognize that beauty.

Actually, age discrimination will/is becoming a big issue in America. It's happening at great frequency in all fields and continue to do so. Only a matter of time until this becomes a one of the hot button issues.

You said what I was thinking. Liberal hypocrites. They don't really mean a thing they say. They want their stupid system to apply to everyone else. They expect to be excluded from rules and restrictions.

They are all wealthy enough to start their own film companies. Why don't THEY take the risk with THEIR money and see if the public is interested in watching their movies.

LOL I think so! Now all we need is a thread about forty year old single women hearing the loud ticking of their bio clocks.

I agree with that too, but these ladies have the experience in the industry and the money to make things happen. They should stop the whining and make a niche for themselves.

I see a lot of roles for women over 40 in flicks.... what the hell do they want?? Unless they are talking about XXX flicks, I think 30 is considered over the hill for porn.

How many things look good at 40 except for currency, precious metals minerals and liquor? And now with Viagra some 40 year old things can still look good too.
