Every time one of the Swedish officials ask Ambassador Mazel a question, I hope he responds by showing them a picture of a victim of the Maxim bombing and give them a short biography of the murder victim.

I doubt if it'll change their minds, however.

As far as I'm concerned, the artist can continue producing his work, as irrelevant as it may be. However, Zvi Mazel once again demonstrated how very alive the Jewish people are. He showed the world that they will not go quietly into non-existence.

Bravo Zvi Mazel! If only Americans would take a lesson here. The world respects strength and determination, not endless equivocation and reflection.

Fine with me, too. Any "artist" who creates garbage like that has got to expect a reaction. He probably spends all of his time with his lefty artsy buddies, however, and never expected a - gasp! - NEGATIVE reaction.

"He pulled out the plugs and threw one of the spotlights into the fountain, which caused the entire installation to short-circuit and made it totally life-threatening,"

Normally NOT pulling out the plugs first would cause a short circuit. For an UNPLUGGED appliance to do so is a freaking miracle.

Feiler told AP the exhibit was designed to draw attention to how weak people left alone can be capable of horrible things. He said Mazel "tried to stop free speech and free artistic expression from being carried out in Sweden."

Decadence of the secular Jew (of Feiler).

The museum director said he did not consider the artwork to be a provocation. "It is rather an invitation to think about why such things happen in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," he said.

Decadence of the Swede

The European socialist hates the Jew because the Jews gave the Book to the World with which the Christians built upon. The Book lays down a social legal basis that is at odds with the decadent, non-religious order of Plato as espoused in his “Republic.” Plato is the prophet the socialist adores. Universal sex, boarding schools, and guardian administrators are all they want. They have hated the Jews ever since Christ gave Judaism universal appeal and set final justice above the reach of the brutish despots. I kid you not. I read a medieval letter penned in the 500’s that said just as much. Thus, anti-Semitism is eternal, at least in the fundamentalist secular folds of Europe.

HE DIDN'T RUIN THE ARTWORK...HE RUINED THE LIGHTING. I wish one article would point this out. YIKES.

Just what would this director think was provocation? Good Grief..

Considering Swedens history of strict neutrality in WWII, it seems that they emerged from the war without the guilty conscience and have looked past even faintest acknowlegment of the plight of the Jews.

You ask: Just what would this director think was provocation?

Based on his forefathers decisions, something beyond mass genocide might be considered provocation.

It's the same thing all in all. And I am glad he stood up against it.

I disagree about it being the same. Destroying the artwork itself is a little worse than destroying the light. The statement's the same, if that's what you mean.

Bravo to the Ambassador. More Leftists need to be slapped hard when they glorify those murdering thugs.

If we could only get someone like that in OUR State Department....

Plato is the prophet the socialist adores.

It is good to go back and take a look at Plato as an adult. His notion of "Philosopher Kings" is really just elitist nonsense. (I prefer "Programmer Kings" myself.) For those who are intersted I would recommend reading Peikoff's Ominous Parallels.

Mrs. SubMareener suggested that he should have pissed on the boat.

I think we should invite the Swedish ambassador to an "art" exibit entititled: "Art Imitates Life!. This is a life size statue of Swedish Foreign Minister Anna Lindh, naked of course, with the visitors being able to "participate" by stabbing the statue in the chest! It would all be done tastefully, of course.

I am too, it should be obvious to even the most braindead
that Feiler and his ilk are pro-palestinian propagandists
and perhaps even set this up as an afront to the Ambassador,
it was Feiler's own work after all.

I am glad to see the Israeli government stand behind him,
that in itself is refreshing.

If I had been there - I would have burnt it to ashes! Every decent Jew in the world feels the same about this and those who applaud and praise genocide have no right to hide behind "freedom of artistic expression." There are limits even to civilized niceties. Jews react the same to this act of moral courage on the part of Israel's ambassador today as they did in 1938 when Herschel Gryznspan shot a Nazi official in Paris in protest of the Nazis ever esclatating persecution of the Jews. If more people had taken a stand then, the Holocaust would never have happened. And sure enough, it began with the burning of Jewish books. Today, it is camoflauged behind artistic license that glorifies homocide bombers' mass murders of Jews. My Jewish heart goes out to Ambassador Marzel for saying "Enough!" After the pusilanimity and cowardice of the Oslo years, it is refreshing to see an Israeli official stand up, diplomatic protocol be damned, in defense of the Jewish people. He has won the deep appreciation of Jews everywhere for his standing up for Jewish rights and the good name of the Jewish people.

They should revoke that Art Pukes citizenship.

Hats off to the ambassador for having the guts to act in the face of evil. The world needs far more men like that, and far less euro-whining eunuch's.

One thing the Swedish jerk should think about, Hitlers always kill far more Germans than they kill Jews. May he learn the lesson from history, instead of his future.
