boneheaded or not, it is customary to see news that is somewhat current on the "latest" page. Obviously, words like "customary" and "current" have definitions that are somewhat arbitrary. However, in the context of the FR forum, I agree that seeing that post constantly connotes something that is not the case.
Maybe it can be moved to chat, like the LOTR stuff.
