With all due respect, no "conservative" is "gleefully advocating" Dubya's demise in '04.

We see him making a sharp left turn down the over to the "wrong side of the tracks," but politics is like that, isn't it? While attempting to gain a new constituency, the line of demarcation between voter acceptability and unacceptability of an older constituency base can be a dangerous proposition. Bush crossed waaay over it on a rather large issue and managed to p*ss a lot of us off who hoped to have had more faith in him to do the right thing.
