What do you mean a high of 57%? On that chart it's 63%. That makes it a 10 point drop in a month. What else has happened to affect it?

I just talked to rank and file agents in the San Diego Sector who said illegal entries SOARED on the day Bush announced the proposal.

Ex is a "high ranking" huh? Have you noticed what illegal alien problem has developed over the years with the "high ranking" members running things?

"Well so you hope."

I "hope" Dubya comes to his senses and backs up this bus in reverse -- fast.

Compromising on American sovereignty, and the rewarding of illegal invaders are not negotiatable issues to a large sector of his base.

Sorry, I don't know how to post a link, but it is Pollingreport.com

It is a very comphrensive site and it demonstrates how the way questions are presented affect the polls.

It tracks all sorts of things.

The UNAPPEASABLE/PURISWT/MORE CONSERVATIVE THAN THOU crowd, haven't a clue, not a glimmer of an idea, not a scintilla of the beginnings of knowledge about politics nor reality;poor things. The ONLY thing they really, really, REALLY know about, is how to waste bandwidth and how to make utter fools of themselves.

And how do you personally profit by slavery?
Only those with a vested financial interest in the slave trade think President Bush's proposal has good intentions.
Thank Rumsfield and Cheney for the decisive war on terror.
Thank Carl Rove for destroying the credibility of Republicans.
Thank George W. Bush for his service.
Odd that more Democrats support Bush than Republicans.Care to guess why that might be true?

It helps to read the article EW or are you afraid it would say what you don't want it to say?

Their message is -- If the president did not do what YOU wanted him to do 100% of the time over the last 4 years then write in "Nintendo in 2004"!

Not principle. Issues. He spends double what Clinton did. That is a fact, not a principle. This is his second attempt at amnesty for illegals. The first one failed and this one will too unless he wants a war. Then let's talk about Education, caving to Europe and the UN and constant undermining of American workers. Those are not principles. Those are facts.

Guess what pal? I didn't elect YOU as the arbiter of whether or not I am conservative. There is a lot better chance that you're a Dem plant than I am. In case you clever conservatives haven't noticed, the liberal press (which thinks conservatives are Nazis) is working every day to tell you that President Bush isn't conservative enough, and that you should be mad at him.
Then they go to their local bar and drink a toast to their Holy Trinity - The Clintons, Gore and Teddy.

Have been posting for over a year now that leaving our borders unprotected has left a channel for terrorists to enter the country and cause all sorts of destruction.

And we know Al Qaeda wants nothing more than to see GWB defeated.

So, their most obvious course of action is to plan an attack, late next summer or early next fall, by people who have smuggled themselves and their weapons across our unprotected border.

The glaring absence of GWB's securing our borders will then cause his defeat. And appropriately so.

Our refusal to support GWB is because we put our country ahead of any Cool Aid drinking Republican instincts we may have.

And GWB is not doing his job in securing our country.

And it is for political reasons.

Sorry folks, did not want to interrupt your Cool Aid party.

My ex-husband is a high ranking border patrol official, working with a counter-terrorism and high intensity drug trafficking task force. He says the immigration proposal will be the best thing that has happened to immigration in years and the benefit to our Homeland Security will be immense.

If that is a true statement, then he is odd man out. Their Union released a statement saying the exact opposite.

Compromising on American sovereignty

What in the blank are you talking about? The man has shot down every single program Clinton and the UN started to take away our sovereignty. If you think his immigration plan takes away our sovereignty -- ugh -- can't finish. Its like an alternate universe on these threads.

It just so happens that we have the detractors of the president show up in posts that are slighting to him (like poll slippage numbers) or the Immigration policy where some conservatives do not agree with his policies. On the majority of the posts here, it seems that most conservatives seem to admire and like the President as do the vast majority of republicans.
