DICK MORRIS --- Clinton behind Dean's sinking
Al Rantel show, KABC in Los Angeles

Dick Morris is on Al Rantels show in Los Angeles discussing the falling Howard Dean.
Morris - "If A is attacking B, and B is attacking A, then C and D will benefit."
Al asked who is behind the attacks on Dean. Morris told him that it couldn't be Gephardt because he doesn't have the money to pay someone 250K to do the opposition research. Who has the money? Clinton. Yep, Morris believes that Clinton is behind it.
Kerry would be tough....of Edwards, Lieberman, and Clark, Lieberman is nowhere, Clark is not ready for prime time. Edwards might be bad news. Rove is not happy. Edwards is bad dream for bush...moderate southerner...big time trial lawyer money for him.
Morris is sometimes right and sometimes wrong. This is getting interesting. Of course, DFU has been saying for three years that this is exactly what Hillary Clinton would be doing behind the scene.

I agree with Morris here -- FrankenKerry's going to be the one to emerge from the pack.

morris has been consistent on this, he said all along that the entire Dem/Clinton machine and the media they control would move against Dean, and they have,

Morris was also on Hannity and Colmes saying the same thing.
No surprise to us. We remembered the odious Chrhis Lehane from the Gore campaign, and we know he has a pipeline to the Clintons through Clark.

I think hillary actually used Dean to knock Kerry back into the pack early last year, because it looked as if he would be the front runner. Then when Dean pulled too far ahead, she used opposition research to knock Dean back. But I don't think she wants Kerry to win in Iowa either. Notice that Drudge is running an anti-Kerry piece tonight. I wonder who gave him that little tidbit? My money is on hillary.
But it's obvious that the clintons are behind the attacks on Dean. Most of the stories have been appearing in their favorite liberal outlets.

It is better for the country and better for conservatism -- though not necessarily better for the Republican Party -- that the Democrats nominate a moderate. Dean et al as extreme leftists not only pull one major party to the left, they also allow and even encourage the Republican s to move left, towards the center, to get moderates. So both parties end up moving left, as does the center of gravity of American politics.

Doesn't matter - these polls are junk.
Morris should be smart enough to know that Zombie is saucing his "Tracking Polls".
The ground game is the most important thing at the Caucus.
Kerry does NOT have a ground war machine in Iowa, neither does Edwards.
Dean will finish first and Gephardt second I guarantee it.

Kerry is getting attacked in today's news. Kerry is a threat to Clark in N.H. If Kerry wins Iowa, Kerry will beat Clark in N.H.
Read Drudge and you will see the operatives seeing to it Kerry won't come first in Iowa.
Gephardt will be left alone. If Gephardt wins Iowa, he is not a threat to Clark in N.H. Dean will tumble in N.H. giving Clark the lead.
It will then come down to S.C. That is where the battle really starts.

Typical fill-in-the-blank for WJC: just substituting Dean for Monica (sorry!).

All this proves to me is that Morris reads Free Republic. We know Clinton put out the "attack Bosnia unilaterally" letter as Dean's sealed his records and Clinton's the only one left with a copy. The Clintons always play dirty.

There's a whole lot of surmizin strataragizin goin on!
I give up.
I predicted Kerry would win since forever, so this late surge should have me saying "I told you so". But tonight one of the talking heads suggested these polls are way way off, and mean nothing in a caucus state, that organization is everything. That Dean is solid. That Dean will benefit from his Iowa win even more since the story will be "he survived the late Kerry surge." They almost made it sound as if the Dean campaign was somehow encouraging these polls.

I like your analysis that zombie is saucing the tracking polls. So, the question begs... is zombie doing this on his own, sort of like job security? Or is zombie saucing the polls for other reasons?
