Looks like there are plenty of driver's licenses to go around for everybody.

Virginia is a tough law-enforcement state. I hate to think what is going on in some of the laxer states.

Now picture this. Someone could have gotten a license if they were an illegal and even if they never drove before or took a test. And then picture this. You get a letter in the mail informing you of this so what can you do? Go to another state and use the phoney Virgina license to get a license in another state before your Virgina license is revolked. They should go after these people.

Good for Virginia. Wish we saw more of this diligence.

This is truly amazing. The state of VA is admitting that they are NOT going to do a d*mn thing to the 1,300 folks who illegally obtained drivers licenses under this scheme.
In 1997 I sat in a VA court and watched a mexican illegal get 4 years in prison on a first offense for attempting to obtain a VA license. This was in a rural county where they obviously take the law a little more seriously.
VA has a problem with their DMV procedures. My guess is that this is not even the tip of the iceberg and that is what they are trying to hide.

Good to see these clowns being prosecuted. At this point I'd support INS substations wherever DL's are issued.
Forgive my ignorance but what's the importance of Tyson's Corner?
To: primeval patriot
I thought it to mean Tyson Food (notorious for hiring illegals) but you may be right, it may be a place and not a company.
Thank you for pointing that out.

Tell ya what - prove that it's a locale and not a business and I'll ping the mod to fix it, no problemo.

Tyson's Corner is a place. I live in Virginia west of there.

You're a male. How do I know that? Because men have a hard time admitting being factually wrong.
Go ahead and admit it and show the forum you are not only a man, but a good and mature one too.
Of course, primeval din't exactly make that easy for ya, the way he came off, but rise above him too.

Yeah, Tyson's Corner is a place, better known for the Tyson's Corner Mall than the DMV.
For perspective on this story, people in the Northern VA suburbs adjacent to DC will use either the Four Mile Run DMV or the Tyson's Corner DMV.
And it's mildly interesting that these employees stayed in biz right through 9/11, and even after the Four Mile Run DMV (which mainly caters to our growing Northern VA illegal and legal immigrant population) had the hammer dropped on it for delivering fraudulent Virginia ID cards to several of the 9/11 hijackers.

Moderator, would you please be so kind as to revise the title of this thread by removing the words "Tyson Mentioned?" This has been noted by FReepers who are familiar with the part of Virginia described in the article.
In context, Tyson is a location and not a company.

When you add Tysons and illegal aliens you get two law breakers at once. Tysons is the same company that hires illegals and helps such dim luminaries as Hitlery make fortunes on the stock market. Tysons also helped the Felon win his elections. Lessee now, how do they get away with this? Inquiring minds want to know...
