"Oscar winning beauty?" I have never understood the liberal media's adoration of Ms. Paltrow. I've never found her beautiful and she certainly didn't deserve her oscar.
Cate Blanchett was brilliant in "Elizabeth."

Cate Blanchett was brilliant in "Elizabeth."I'll say. I've probably seen it a dozen times (even though it's horribly inaccurate, historically speaking).
I've tried (twice) to make it through Paltrow's Shakespeare in Love, but it's just kind of silly.
Cate should have won.

I couldn't agree more. Elizabeth was a fascinating movie made by the performance of Cate Blanchette. Paltrow's Shakespeare in love was one of the worst movies I've ever seen as well as a truly horrible acting hack job by Ms. Paltrow. She looked like an anorexic teenager on heroin and there's no way she passed as a dude who could grow a mustache....give me a break.

Cate Blanchett was brilliant in "Elizabeth."That she was. And she is beautiful. But although I haven't heard it from her, Blanchett is probably virulently anti-American. The point being that we need not deny Paltrow's acting ability, and her avowed beauty, merely because she has turns out to be a lib airhead.
