[history]
The Justice Department will not appeal a judge's decision allowing John W. Hinckley Jr., the man who shot President Reagan, to visit his parents without the presence of staff from a mental hospital. "While the Justice Department has decided not to file an appeal of the court order, the department will continue to work to ensure that there are significant restrictions imposed by the court, which continues to have jurisdiction, on any conditional releases in the future," Channing Phillips, chief of staff of the U.S. attorney's office here, said Friday.

What an insult to the Reagan family as well as all those who feel that this creep should have been convicted of his PLANNED crimes.
The fact that this jerk got off with his "Insanity" defense is an affront to the "justice" system. Now the fool is going to get unsupervised trips out of his looney-bin?
Are the inmates running the crazyhouse?

Brady's wife, Sarah, has said the family still feared for its safety and didn't want to see her husband's life "ruined" any further.Wonder if she'll buy a gun now.

The most famous inmate of St. Elizabeth's hospital was Ezra Pound, who was put there by his friends to avoid the risk that he might be executed for treason.
I'd post a quotation from that canto where he writes about being locked up in a cage in Italy after the allies captured him, but his work still seems to be under copyright and not easily available on the web.
T. S. Eliot, Robert Lowell, and others used to visit him at St. Elizabeth's before he was released and retired to Venice.

"
Are the inmates running the crazyhouse?"Yes! And these humped-up liberal judges like Friedman have been making a mockery of law and justice for some time now.

Lets hope Hinckley makes an unsupervised visit into the tiger cage at the zoo during feeding time.
....Or Fort Marcy park!

"

Judge Friedman is a Clinton appointee. He throws the book at republicans and lets democRATs walk.
It's no surprise that he let Hinkley out. If Hinkley had done that same thing to a democRAT, he would be worm food now.

Trust me on this one. The little rat f**k is going to do a bolt as soon as he thinks nobody's looking.
They should make the headshrinkers who evaluated him clean be hostages for his return.

Judge Friedman is a Clinton appointee.Maybe he's hoping to 'overturn' the upcoming election in dramatic fashion. I would not put anything past them.

For sure. But that does not mean he won't do a "bolt" as soon as he sees and opportunity.
