Them WalMart caps are only good for the most mild of sunbelt winters. Anybody living someplace that actually gets cold must have wool. And of course if the person is making their own they can get creative, somewhere around here I still have the took-scarf (5' long hat, big enough to wear on your head and wrap around your neck) a friend's mom made.

True, true; being a SoCal person as I am, I occasionally forget just how cold it gets in the rest of the country. (Which is silly, given how cold it's been in the East this week!)
