That's disgusting. I don't watch news on TV so I missed that. Some things just never change do they?
To: Timesink
Maybe Pickering can afford to work without pay.

More conservative until his appointment is up in a year at least. Then won't it be back to square one?Possibly. I don't know when the last recessed appointed Judge didn't win subsequent Senate approval...however this Senate has thrown out the rule book.
Hopefully a year from now the re-elected President Bush will have a stronger GOP majority in the Senate.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!
Well, it should be the 12th Commandment, Reagan already gave us the 11th, but it's a great Commandment anyhow.

CHA CHING............! More donations for GWB and the RNC! Exactly. This has Rove's finger prints all over it.
I wasn't surprised that Bush was treated so disgracefully at the King memorial service. If Rove keeps it up Bush will soon be treated to equally disgraceful behavior at conservative events.
Too bad. I think Bush is basically a good man but when Rove is finished he'll be viewed by historians as just another political hack.
To: ThatsAllFolks2
not usually this politically charged but with W finally ignoring his little polite political moves and doing something it is good. probably was motivated by losing the $ support of real conservatives but whatever it takes
God Bless America!

haha ! It's a good day to be GOP ! ALL the good news is going the GOP's way today !!:
Supreme Court won't block TEXAS GOP's redistricting plan
Excerpt:
WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court refused Friday to block a hard-fought Republican redistricting plan in Texas that could cost Democrats as many as six seats in Congress.
The justices will announce later this year whether they will consider an appeal from congressional Democrats and others who claim that the map dilutes minority voting strength. In the meantime, they rejected an emergency appeal that sought to stop the state from using the new boundaries in this year's elections.
