Rush Limbaugh Certified FReeper!
EIB - Rush Limbaugh Show
| Rush Limbaugh
Posted on 01/16/2004 11:53:24 AM PST by MindBender26
In 3d hour of today's Limbaugh show, Rush was referring to a newspaper article from California. Was having a little trouble remembering some mundane details of the story and remarked "I'm having a little trouble remembering all the details of the story. I got it off Free Republic this morning!"
Rumors confirmed. We are the premier Conservative research source in the nation.
and.... welcome Rush.
PS, If Rush reads this, I know who has your Grandfather's first set of law books, along with a letter from Westlaw congratulating him on opening his practice, etc.
He would be glad to send you letter, copy, etc.

You are correct, but it wasn't just one thread. Rush was getting bashed in a lot of threads, to the point that JimRob either emailed or phoned him to make sure he didn't take it personally.
My one moment of fame was when Rush read MY THREAD on air recently :-)

Thanks, LOL!

Free Republic = The PREMIER show prep site for RUSH and the world. Exactly! As you also noted, I've also lost count how many times I've read some interesting breaking news first on FR, then heard it on Rush or Hannity, etc. as "breaking news".

You have that right. There is one particular lady that used FR to boost her into the national spotlight and then walked off.

Ya think my idea that Sat. Night Live should do all the dem candidates at once, with Rachel Dratch as Dennis Kucinich, is the reason they did just that last Sat. night? Ya think?

Michael or Eschior?
In a perverse way, don't you miss Michael?
:~)
To: Sloth
Oh yes, that was a funny post. I also remember Rush posting the pic that a Freeper did of Rush hanging Daschle over the balcony. I don't remember the Freeper's name, otherwise I'd mention it.

Rush was mentioning FR during Clinton's impeachment and probably before.
To: MindBender26
Rush, we love listening to you and it's great to know you are with us.

Drudge USED to have a link to FR back in the good ol' Whitewater days. That's how I found FR!
To: Republican Wildcat
...prominent displays/links reference FR on his websiteWhere? I just visited his site to see and don't see links to anything.

He may be series, but he's not Hugh! I hope you are not referring to Hugh Hewitt. He had a great morning program at one time, but since switching to the afternoons there he has added more fluff, giggles, and cutesy stuff. He treats his audience like a fan club who can't wait to hear about his sophmoric escapades.and teasing of other personalities.
Admittedly, he does have some good guests (I catch while channel surfing for intelligent talk), but - Hugh -his repartee with that program director is neither swift nor witty. What a bore that is!
He's been coasting for a long time. Hopefully, KRLA will dump him like they did the too-cute and too-clever Jay Larson.
Believe it or not, I was a huge fan when he started out. He just stopped taking his job seriously and lost my interest.
