I don't think most people have a problem with the idea of handicapped parking, per se.
The problem is the ratios required.
If I go to Home Depot, Lowes, Wal-Mart or Kroger, it's almost certain that for every handicap space taken, there are 4 or 5 which are not.

Good. Then when my mom gets there, she'll be able to park.
Although I am very sorry that you'll have to walk to the door, and I'm sure my mom is, too. It's such a chore for you. My heart is full of sadness that you can't park right in front of the store.
