They "should refrain from taking communion"

This call keeps going out from the church hierarchy.

It's a good and necessary first step.

There is nothing said about refusing them communion at the altar rail

Let's pray that this comes next.

Under the circumstances for a Catholic politician to take communion would "compound the felony".

This seems to be a growing movement. It is certainly a step toward the church taking back it's position of moral leadership. Until it does, the Church will continue in a state of decline.
