Troll-boy acts as if we enjoy this abject disappointment.

I wish it were as it was, when you were writing poems in support of him and I was running around with a Sore/Loserman sign monitoring chad counters.

No I don't like "Bushaholics Anonymous" and I'll be presumptuous enough to venture that neither do you.

Can I get you a cup of coffee?

I think you severely overestimate your contribution to GWB's election, fwiw. This is not atypical of FR though. This could explain why people like you not voting for GWB this time around is going to hurt his results. You'll be very sad to learn that you represent a very tiny, jaded, group of people of a fringe where Right/Left is basically indistinguishable. So you're done with Bush and the GOP, Cletus? Good riddance. Don't let that door hit you on the way out.

In a bombshell revelation that has Washington reeling in shock, former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill told CBS News that Bush was no great admirer of Saddam Hussein, with the President even hinting sinisterly the ousted Iraqi leader was a 'bad person.'

I know I was shocked! In fact I'm still in recovery and it may be a while before I can face the horrible truth, but DR Bob says I almost all better. He says I can have my shoe laces back soon, so I'm taking that as a sign of progress.

In the runup to the war you'll recall some saying that this was taking us away from OBL and the war on terror, when one day it occured to me that what..just what if the reverse were true. What if 9-11 took the President away from getting sadam?

To paraphrase an old quip:

What O'Neill said was both newsworthy and true. However, the things that were newsworthy werent true, and the things that were true werent newsworthy.

"I have no economic interest in it, contrary to the inference in The Wall Street Journal this morning."

Thank you Eva. Something in the article you linked caught my eye:

"I have no economic interest in it, contrary to the inference in The Wall Street Journal this morning."

It should have read "I have no financial interest in it...".

Normally this would be an innocent mistake if it were you or I, but this is the former secretary of the Treasury for crying out loud. To any learned money guy the nomenclature should be second nature.

No wonder nobody listened him.

"these documents were stalking O'Neill"

Brilliant. It's not his fault that he's such a jerk.

Someone needs to throw a net over this guy and drag him off to the funny farm.

I'm sure O'Neill is a very smart guy. (I'm told that Bill Clinton is, too.) But my comments about him concern his character, which has been revealed to be seriously lacking.
