I was soliciting checks right after the announcement, and I lost two checks from people who had wanted to come, but wouldn't," Mr. Kent said. "They specifically said this is just rewarding lawbreakers.
Looks like these guys won't be getting their souvenir T-shirts.

A Bush campaign official declined to criticize Mr. Kent, but said of his complaint: "I'm not sure it's that big a deal." That's an interesting attitude.

A majority of Americans adamantly oppose key elements in PresBush`s immigration reform proposals he recently outlined. Americans oppose giving legal status to illegal aliens and increasing legal immigration. They also want the borders sealed shut.
America is in the midst of fighting the war on terrorism. This is the wrong time to propose amnesty for illegals and to allow our borders to remain so porous. This new policy agenda would set back our national security efforts and is counterproductive to the integrity of our society. It's not in the best interests or the well being of the American people.
If some conservatives are holding back monetary support for Bush-Cheney 2004, I can understand why.

Good , Pres. Bush turning his back on America should hurt his campaign war chest ,
America should send their money to Tom Tancredo , the true American who is standing up to the 10 million illegal alien invasion of our country .
Tom Tancredo for President 2004

"And it's a decision based on policy concerns, not political concerns."
And pigs fly!

The whole reason for that misguided immigration plan was to insure that Dubya would get the Cuban and Maxican votes in Florida and California, respectively. It all comes down to one thing:
Dubya is just buying votes at our expense.

Gerry Lynn Warner, who works for an Atlanta assisted-living equipment company, said ...."I don't agree with everything he does, and I think it would be a mistake to do what he has proposed," Mr. Warner said. "In business, you have to support the guy you think is going to win." [Emphasis supplied.] Quote of the week. And a defining illumination of political rainmaking.

I used to contribute often to the RNC. But since seeing the utter incompetence of the Frist leadership and then the Medicare spending debacle topped off with legalizing the illegals. I no longer contribute because I am no longer represented. Yes, I will probably vote for Bush next november because the war on terror is not something that can be trusted to any democrat. But I will not contribute another penny until my interests are better represented.

Send checks to GOP congressional candidates instead.
The time has come for us to stop supporting a President who quite obviously feels he can take conservatives for granted.

"I'm pleased with the proposal. I actually think it's a good thing," Mr. Schrull said. Opponents of the plan, he said, "are either misinformed or uninformed." Ditto.
