Well, living in New England has its pluses, and some serious minuses. SSN-607.

I feel for you people in the northeast. Heard it compared to hurricane Hugo tonight on the news!

What's interesting is that no one did a story about us here in Montana , two weeks ago, with the same temperatures. I feel slighted !!! LOL!!

Bundle up!!!

I was unfortunate enough to be stationed in North Dakota and 20-30 below zero was considered the tropics.

It's Bush's fault. If he had signed onto the Kyoto treaty, we wouldn't have global warming causing all of this cold weather.

Think I can get one of the democratic candidates to hire me?

Big Rock ski resort in Maine closed for a second straight day. General manager Tim Prather said it was minus 12 by midday, which felt like 37 below with the wind. "That's pretty brutal when you're going up a lift," he said.

Sissies! I've skiied Searchmont in Sault Ste. Marie Canada at 20F below. Granted, you could only ski about 30 minutes at a time before going into the lodge to get some high fat, high calorie food...

We are one with that. I remember standing tank watch with the winds wipping mightily.

That's because we, in New England, are by-and large wusses, for the most part unprepared for Global Cooling.

I can almost see the Thames River from here. I'm right near the back gate of the base where it is currently -1 as I type this. Any yes, my hubby (former submariner) can relate.
