I am 110% behind the idea of letting the French bid on the contracts. Heck I'd even let them bid on protecting president Bush. With the caveat that the are NEVER EVER actually awarded the contract.
It takes time to prepare a bid and so if we keep them busy preparing bids, without actually getting business hurts their companies. And that is a cause that I can support ;-)
