OK, gang.
Barring a catastrophe or another 9/11 attack, it's pretty much a given that President Bush will be re-elected in just under 10 months from today. That's been already listed here on FR today. And Jay Currie has a VERY good point. The Dems KNOW they've already lost this election, and are using it to position for 2008 and, God Help Us, Hillary.
Who do we have / want who is in position to run for the Republican nomination in 2008 ???
Given that President Bush would want to have his successor continue his policies, who you all of you think is a worthy successor to George W. Bush, and our best defense against the Hildebeast ???

"one issue voters"
LOL - it's not "One issue", it's four - Condi is Pro AA, Pro Illegal Alien, Pro Palestinian, Pro Abortion and then people have no idea what her other policies are.
Why do you think Owens can't win? all he has to do is win all the states Bush won in 2000 and he wins by 18 EVs.

We Republicans are going to have to start grooming a Latino candidate for prez in 2008, if we want to get the majority vote. The way things are going, in four more years, Bustamonte will probably fit the bill quite nicely.

Isn't Condi too close to the Raiders to get the NFL Commish's job?

And who exactly is promoting amnesty?

Condi could be sec. of state for the next four years, then run for pres and win. I've talked to more people who'd love to borrow her brains and drive...for a month, just to see what it's like to be her. Wow!

You are in dreamland about Rudy! What a nice fairytale....Geez, he had at least 2 affairs while still married....with children. This will hurt his chances, and frankly, I don't want another guy like this in the White House.

Have Condi run for VP in 2004 and then run for Pres in 2008.Very few VPs have ever made it to Pres, except by the death of the Pres. GHW Bush was a rare exception. Geeeesh, Ford couldn't even get re-elected!

"I'd have liked Powell to knock Clinton off."
Powell actually would have been far more liberal than Clinton and even worse on National Defense.

Rudy is on his THIRD wife and is pro-choice. I think both are negatives.
To: thoughtomator
True about women, he's divorced, but that's about all.
However, while I would love to see him as Senator, I'd rather someone else for Pres. because of his stands on Abortion and Gun Control. I don't mind as much for a senator, and don't get me wrong, I'd certainly vote for him if he got the nomination, but I'd rather someone else.

Prediction:
Cheney will step down due to health reasons during Bush's second term. Condoleeza Rice will become vice president.
Rice will win the presidency in 2008.
Hillary will have a nervous breakdown and move to France!
