We're power mad. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Fuel-sipping hybrid gasoline-electric cars may get plenty of hype at the North American International Auto Show, but when they vote with their wallets, more Americans elected a big, powerful V8 engine last year than any time since 1985.

I also read that Shelby is building a new GT 350 & GT 500 for 05 in his last hurrah Yeah, I read the same. Have you heard anything about pricetags (for either the Shelbys or the regular 'Stangs)?

Every 1960-70s auto from GM or Ford with a vinyl top suffered this problem.

I've been thinking about getting a '67 Fastback (with a 390) as well. Still regret sellling my '65 conv. .....bought it in '82, kept in for 10 years, and the only thing that required fixing was the radiator. Most reliable care I've ever owned.
Check out the '67 'Stangs on this page. ....Some real nice ones.

I think I read about it in the new Motor Trend but I don't think that they put a price tag on it. I know that he's been re-building 67 Fastbacks into Eleanor Clones that range anywhere from 50k to 150k, but the one thing i'm sure about is that these new ones won't be cheap either. But to answer your question, No I don't really know.

I knew that the vinyl tops rusted underneath, but man i've got a major rust problem that you can only understand if you saw it. I've never seen anything like it before, my only option is to replace the whole top from about the bottom of the window up. It's really bad, but hey if you love'em you fix it.

Check out Ford. You can buy 350 hp crate small blocks that will drop right in.
I'm really thinking about starting a coupe project car, 66-70 body.

This is Volkswagen's mammoth 12 cylinder engine. The W-12 equipped Phaeton is too damned expensive for a VW, but I really want to hear what kind of throaty roar this kind of power will give....Just damn.
If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...
