Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger faces a fight to persuade voters to approve a $15 billion bond on the March 2 ballot, one of the keys to his fiscal recovery plan, according to two polls released Wednesday.
"If this is the cornerstone of his budget, he's got some heavy lifting to do," said said Mark DiCamillo, Field Poll director.

"bond to slash deficit" = "bond to bail out excessive spending and bandaid over near-term pain"
Gubinor has 52% approval rating, 27% disapprove of his performance, 21% say , huh?

NO ON 56 (and the rest)

Well, I'm kind of encouraged.
When I lived/voted in California it seemed like every freakin' bond proposition that came down the pike passed.
I love it that some of these drags on the economy may actually lose. And yes, I'm interested because I will be moving back to the state in 2007 (not sure for how long, though)

I'd vote NO on this. I have yet to see the politicians get serious about getting our state's fiscal house in order.

Proposition 58, the balanced-budget amendment, enjoyed sizable margins of support in both polls. Bad news: People don't see the Trojan horse in Prop 58 that allows the legislature to generate debt (bonds) to pay for today's prodigious spending.

This bond will not pass and Arnold will declare a "emergency" and raise taxes...
