Being candid I think Miller's career is in a tailspin. While signing on with CNBC is a good thing it must be noted that CNBC is currently celebrating it's 9th viewer. ( that was a joke but not far off the mark) It is the Salvation Army Thrift Store of talk show venues.
The second issue is one of style. Miller's urban glib slickster style works in glib urban slickster venues. I doubt that Miller's style will play well in Oklahoma City and Pahrump, Nevada. Given that Miller's career choices have narrowed considerably eg. His Monday Night Football exercise never got off the twenty yard line, and his college dates have dwindled to a mere trickle ( most conservative colleges and conservative religious schools where his style once again handicaps him)
While Millers epiphany regarding the conservative cause is welcome, I don't think he will garner much career benefit from being born again as a conservative.

Being candid....
The guy is brilliant and I will watch as much as possible.
As far as his career being in a tailspin, could have fooled me....and the other 15,000 people I was with last year in the MGM Grand Garden Arena for one of his shows.

I think you're right that Millers career isn't going to get a big bump from his new found beliefs...especially living in and around Hollywood. But this is the reason I have some respect for the guy. He's obvioulsy at a place in his life where he doesn't need the acceptance of Hollywood to feel good about himself. His family, and the events of 9/11, exposed him to the reality of life--and death--outside of liberal Hollywood. Miller's comedy has always been a cerebral affair, often going over the heads of many; but his delivery is half the laugh. I'm sure his liberal audience isn't laughing...but I'm LMAO.

I doubt that Miller's style will play well in Oklahoma City and Pahrump, Nevada.I'm unacquainted with O.C., but my brief sojourns in Pahrump would lead me to believe that their social mores would be inclusive of Mr. Miller and his fans.

Sorry to disappoint you, my friend, but I live in Oklahoma and I think Dennis Miller is a scream-----and so do all that I know.
Perhaps we aren't the unsophisticates that you imagine us to be.
