I can't speak for all JRT's, but Janey stopped chewing furniture after she was about 1 year old. (Bitter apple spray helped.) She housebroke easily, and almost never has accidents. The bit about the Napoleonic complex is true, but it applies mostly to other dogs - I socialized Janey from a young age, and today at 9 & 3/4 years old she's everybody's buddy. I take to work with me every day, and everyone loves her.

JRT's aren't for everybody - they love mischief, and require constant attention. But the rewards far exceed the investment.

Couldn't agree more. Though Tucker does tend to go postal on stuffed toys. Notice the bit of one beside him.

I love the pictures of your JRT. Don't you love that breed? They are the best. We have have had 7 of them in the last 14 years. We have 2 new puppies now.

I know a couple who have two JRT's. Life must be hilarious in that house.
