Posted on 01/14/2004 10:58:26 AM PST by brazucausa

I would like to know if any of you know what time President Bush will speak about space exploration. I probably would not be able to watch it so I thought it would to be nice if you guys keep me informed and post your opinions about it.

Bush was to speak at 3:15 p.m. EST at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. His proposals followed a review of U.S. space policy after the loss of the space shuttle Columbia on Feb. 1 last year.

He will be on NASA TV about an hour from now. His formal announcements tend to be highly reasoned and very knowledgeable. No kidding, he has the best resources anybody could have, and he uses them well. Very thorough. Listen and see if he continues in this manner on this topic.

They say 3:15 ET.
There's a link for the webcast. Later it should be available archived and a transcript will probably be there tonight.

The premise seems very encouraging. Collecting and storing solar power, and using the moon as a re-fueling stop for future space missions. I think the money could be better used here at home though.

I think the plan might be to build a space structure, on the moon. Don't quote me. I need to watch and see what he says. :)
