Many, if not most, of the big-mouths lambasting Bush the loudest here are on Free Republic never voted for him in Y2K — they're Patsies who supported for Pat Buchanan and the other wingnuts of the Reform Partry.

Wrong. Try again.

I voted for Bush in 2k, now it was in NY so its not like it did a ton of Good but I am in MN now and its a bit more in play. With Drug Give away's, weakend boarders, gun bans, and a more than 60% incease in education spending I wont vote for him in 2k4

I was a BIG supporter of Dubya in 2000.

I haven't changed. Dubya has. He's decided he doesn't want my vote. Apparently, Rove has convinced him he can toss my vote (and the votes of similarly minded-Republicans) into the dumpster and that he will more than make up for it with votes won from cross-over Democrats.

Well, you know, Rove is the smartest man on the planet. The rest of us are ignorant, we just don't understand this high Machiavellan drama that demigod pols such as Rove play in.

I defer to Bush's superior judgment. He doesn't want or need my vote and he isn't going to get it.

I voted for Bush in 2k and I am very happy I did. His handling of 9/11 and Afgan/Iraq was outstanding. Since then I've endured many disappointments CFR/Med/Edu and I'm not sure the Patriot Act was the right thing to do in such a rushed fashion and the Immigration policy doesn't sit well either.

Will I vote for him again? Only if there are no other conservative candidates worthy of my vote. So you fill in the blanks as to who I'll be voting for come November.

Nope but thank you for playing. I voted straight Republican ticket since the late 1980s. Stopped right in 2002 when well, you know. That's when I stopped voting straight ticket ;)

Don't know about '04. There's a possibility I will vote for Burr, not sure though. The 'big tent' party is going to have some empty seats next time around. Conservatives are tired of being taken granted for by a party that just wants our votes

Which means we were right then and we're still right. Bush is just like his daddy and just like Bob Dull.

Yada, yada, yada.

You will see the difference in the 2004 vote when we DO stay home or vote 3rd party.

You are definitely wrong. I not only voted for Bush in 2000, I flew to Nashville to Freep Gore's HQ. I also promised I would be at the inauguration - either to protest Gore or celebrate Bush. I was there celebrating in the rain.

Now, however, I have called the White House, my Senators and Congressmen to tell them I will not vote Republican this election. They have been given a unique opportunity - an all Republican government and have sold us out.

Most of the good Bush has done can be easily undone. The bad is going to be difficult if not impossible to undo. I am referring to "campaign finance reform,' (violation of the first amendment), medicare reform (new entitlement), and most of all illegal alien amnesty plus just plainly not enforcing our borders. This administration is cheapening American citizenship. How long will it be before many Americans are unwilling to risk death by serving their country? What will they be risking death for?

I've served and I tell you I don't think I would join today.

I can only speak for myself. In 2000, I voted for George W. Bush; in 2004, I will not vote for him. Since I don't want, at this point, to vote against my commander in chief, that means skipping the presidential race, though I will vote for candidates I think show promise for other offices.

THat's absolute BS. I supported, worked for and voted for Bush. I was a registered Republican. And I'll be giving Tancredo a check, my vote and volunteer to go door to door if need be to keep this Liberal from being re-elected.

Pat Buchanan is the one of the biggest morones in America. He is just a bitter, bitter loser. People like him will make conservatives lose every election from mayor of the smallest town in America all the way to the Presidency.
