Is it just me, or does Clark remind other people of General Buck Turgeson (played by George C. Scott in Dr. Strangelove)? Remember the classic line about the thermonuclear war option, "I'm not saying we won't get our hair mussed. Fifteen million dead. Twenty million tops." [He brushes his hand across his crewcut.]

There are only two differences between Clark and Turgeson. They are equally off the reservation. But Clark lacks the courage of his convictions, because he has no convictions to have courage in.

I was going to say Gen. Jack D. Ripper like a few other people, but like Turgeson, ole' Wes is no man of action. If I had to come up with a character, I'd have to say he fits Dr. Strangelove best.
