yum! I still have venison from last year. I shot the buck from the ground (big hefty yearling that thought he was hotstuff with a little doe - he was chasing off her fawn) last year at 30 yards with a bow. My 9 year old was with me. She is a natural about moving in the woods and keeping quiet. It was neat!
I didn't get to go this year because we listed our house and I was too focused on the endgame rather than enjoying time in God's creation, so I welcomed the good excuse to take a little hiatus. I should be all ready for next year. I just got a new drop away rest, new string and cables before season so I wasn't too confident with my setup anyway. Not confident enough to go in the woods and be sure my shot would count. Wounding animals doesn't appeal to me.

Bowhunter, eh? Good for you. Especially good that you didn't hunt with a setup you weren't confident with. I've got some nice racks that were lost by incompetent bowhunters.
I'm getting interal server errors in the Freepmail, so I'll respond here: I don't think Sunny will be able to post without lapsing into her signature CAPS LOCK AS HTML style of getting her point across.:)
