January 12, 2004 -- ALBANY - Bill and Hillary Clinton have told friends that now is the "key moment" for Wesley Clark's presidential campaign, and the former president has begun making last-minute fund-raising calls, key Democrats say. "Bill is said to be personally involved and it's believed he's begun making money calls on Clark's behalf," one of the state's best-connected Democratic activists told The Post.

I gotta admit, with Dean blowing up today, I was worried. But the RATs just spun that away as being Right-Wing media seeking to down Dean, and the GOP planting shills in the audience for Dean's town meeting. (shh, I know, most of the group there were Dean shills, and I bet someone's going to be part of the jobless numbers tomorrow morning.)

The NY Post goes and repeats for liberals that their king and queen have anointed their brave knight for the campaign and those who like them shall donate heavily to Clark, and those who hate them will donate to Dean, and there's another couple million dollars wasted on the primaries.

Now, if only they can keep this going for just another couple months...

The Clintons are advancing their pawn across the board.
The plan- to promote that pawn to Queen.

I wouldn't discount the Clintons so quickly.
They are dangerous.

And keep in mind, a lot of Americans really admire them.

That recent poll result should be instructive to all of us.

The most admired man in America- Dubya.

The most admire woman... Right... Miss Living History herself.

You can see the references to Bill lurking in the shadows here in this article. Clark is a useful operator for them. Nothing more. They're choosing him for his "Security credentials"- that's all.

If they get him this nomination, Hillary will be on that ticket. That's who's running for President here. Bill and Hillary. Clark is just their avatar in this game.

Now that his numbers are rising just a bit, the Clintons want to make it look like they are helping Clark. But, in no way, does Hillary want his campaign to go anywhere. Bill, on the other hand, really doesn't care what Clark does. He surely doesn't want Hillary back in the White House in '04 or '08 or ever. Remember, it's about HIS legacy. The Clintons will always make it look like they are working for a common purpose, but at their cores they are political enemies.

Another comes to mind, (approximately) "No wrath like the wrath of a woman scorned."

She is an angry woman not only because he long ago broke a marital trust, but because she sold her soul and stayed with him.

change of subject: I'm thinking Saddam must be talking. Since his capture, have you noticed? The military has made several big arrests and found buried weapons.

Don't you think when Bill made Hillary co-equal, two for the price of one, Hillary will always be part of "HIS legacy"?

Bill will forever be in Hillary's debt and the payoff will be for her to sit in that oval office alone.

Curious isn't it that the military that these two grew up abhorring, is now the very tool they seek to use to regain power.

They have a big problem in the "general" though, he has as big an ego as the two of them put together and he would send them to "Siberia" if he were ever elected. That is unless Hillary is selected vp.

He may be talking but our folks keep putting out conflicting (dis-info) stories on him. I hope they're having a field day with him. Our troops have had some pretty successful raids lately. Could be.

The military thing is interesting. Clark frightens me.

I really do think the clintons are like partners in a business who don't really trust each other but have more to gain by staying partners. Plus, they each know more about the other than anyone else does. If they split, it would be Katie Bar the Door.

There does seem to be a mutual "fear" of one another between Bill and Hillary. (statue of limitations)

We have been fed the "intelligence" of Bill and Hillary, painting them as flawed but superior beings.

Clark seems to think he is just plain superior, and seems to be a quick study in clinton speak. It is as though he has been annointed as the "high" priest of clintonism. He does not carry the tawdry baggage of bill and hillary and has the "military" badge they lacked.

Sure wish I'd been watching Mort Kondracke on FOX & FRIENDS this morning. Caught just the tail end, but it sounded as if Mort was making mincemeat of O'Neill's accusations on Bush plotting war against Iraq since days after the Inagauration. I heard him say plans for regime change in Iraq had been on the table since 1998. I heard him say those plans does not mean Bush & Company had them on the front burner at all.

The Iraq Liberaction Act - passed by congress and signed by the Great Stainmaker in 1998. It made regime change in Iraq official US policy.

O'neill can stuff his book where the sun don't shine. The Liberation Act is public knowledge
