It frightens me that a man of this kind of judgment was in charge of our treasury.

Ya know there have been 2 wars in Iraq so post war could well refer to War #1 ...it seems like a guy named Bush was also involved ....maybe O'Neil just got his wars confused

I agree. Brit Hume's comments about him in the last half hour of Fox News Sunday today, were very insightful.

What should be of greater concern is that, instead of by statesmen, our government is largely run by political hacks now. Were it not for the 2nd amendment, we could all be doomed.

Luckily O'Neil spent a goodly part of his time carrying Bono's purse and so was out of the loop.

I never liked the man but I never new exactly why. He always came across as a meely-mouthed and wimpy.

I also frightens me that this man ran ALCOA. I'm sure he and Teresa Heinz were good buddies.

You gotta hand it the President Bush, the economy of our nation has done much better since he fired O'Neill.

Seems that he was affected by "fumes" on his trip to Africa.

It reflects poorly on Bush (or Cheney if Cheney chose him) that he was ever hired. Why pick a Treasury Secretary who doesn't support your total economic plan. He has never been a supply sider. Why was a non-supply sider hired?

Look at it this way. All of the men and women of the last president had this type of judgement.
