Do you suppose that President Bush knew that he was proposing something he wnated to be discussed, discected and inspected by Congress? He is not King, or Dictator, so I suppose he put it out there for a debate. No?

No?I would have believed the 'put it out for discussion so Congress (or the Supreme Court) can spike it' strategy before the campaign finance reform fiasco. Karl Rove is overstaying his welcome.

No, and the strategery alibi is wearing a bit thin. The President is human, and flawed. He makes mistakes. CFR was a bd mistake. Proposing Amnesty for Illegals is a worse mistake.

Do you suppose that President Bush knew that he was proposing something he wnated to be discussed, discected and inspected by Congress? Not really. He tried to get smaller amnesties like 245i (amnesty from illegal overstay penalties) and TPS extension (amnesty for Central American illegals) onto the books, not just the debate agenda. TPS extension, in fact, made it to his desk and is now in effect.
