"Perhaps you might want to tone down your "vote for GWB, or you are a Dean supporter" schtick,"

==

Just as soon as the anti-Bush element stops their irrational, and hysterical attacks on Bush, urging people to not vote for Bush, which does strengthen the Dems. I am merely pointing out the facts.

I have yet to see a single post, with realistic suggestions and proposals about the illegal immigration issue.

I don't see posts showing understanding of Bush's proposal and discussing the issues, such as: "I disagree with this part of the proposal, I think he should do xyz instead".

The so-called conservative hysterical anti-Bush screamers are no different than the hysterical leftist element screaming "War is not the answer" but they didn't and still don't have a clue what would be the answer instead.

"GWB's plan will only encourage more people to come to this country illegaly "

===

Please explain how that is?
If borders are secured and there is a legal way for people from Mexico to come and work, IF there are jobs waiting for them, how will that increase illegal immigration?

And how will doing nothing, but allowing the illegals already here to continue in the "shadow economy" help us?

With a judicial oligarchy, it is always social suicide ... if/when the judiciary clamps down on the illegalities, the purveyors of that judicial oligarchy squeal foul and invoke 'fairness'. The pandering politicians then force 'amnesty' down our throats rather than address the hard solutions (bandaids instead of surgery). The President's proposal will never help the situation until teeth bite the employers exploiting the illegal workers. I don't see enough politicians brave enough to pound that into the program, do you?

More to consider for those who are willing to stop and think...

Business Cheers Bush's Plan to Hire Immigrants More Easily, but Labor Is Wary

"hardly any Americans are willing to take the lowly, sweaty jobs in a nursing home's kitchen or laundry.

"Americans just don't want to take a lower-paying, entry-level job,"

I think you might be to far gone, but I will try one more time.
Can we attempt to enforce the laws we have always had, before we write new ones to be broken?
Will you educate yourself on this topic, or claim compassion is needed, right before we repeat history,yet again.
GWB just presented his Achilles heel voluntarily in January to the people of the USA.
Dumb move, but one he feels strongly about.
I am sorry to see him self-destruct, but it is a self-inflicted wound.Seems to run in the family.
I thank him for his service.

Why bother to wait in line with the suckers who want to immigrate here legally when if I wait long enough, an amnesty will come along.

If borders are secured

Secure the borders first, then we'll talk. I'll believe it when I see it.

And how will doing nothing

A combination of actions could reduce illegals in this country over several years. Many freepers have posted solutions. Have an open mind to them.

We need a leader who will say that "under no circumstances will amnesty be granted" but since our leader is not going to say this, its up to Congress to "say no".

Not yet. But the wave of anger that swept Cali after Gray Davis' last greatest act of illegal Hispandering (driver's liceneses for illegals) swept him out of office, literally.

The same could happen in the USA. Maybe.

The next time he heard of his sister was Monday, after she was shot five times and killed early that morning on Plus Park Boulevard near Murfreesboro Pike near Interstate 24. Police said two men charged in her death told police they killed the woman because they thought they had hit her with her pickup truck and were afraid they would get in trouble.

Obviously it was their father's fault, or something like that. Or would that only be the case if they had set her on fire and sloshed gasoline on her?

What kind of freak are you to start posting me randomly from threads I'm not even interested in? Cyber stalking?

Besides, you made one of my points. Two men killed her because they didn't want to get in trouble for the less serious crime of hitting her with a car, and he burned his dads house to keep from getting in trouble for the less serious crime of property damage.
