I never understood why we didn't carpet bomb the poppy fields in Afghanistan...We KNOW what the money is going for.

I never understood why we didn't carpet bomb the poppy fields in Afghanistan Because it's a big friggin country and once we manage to bomb one field, another will just pop up. I think we have more important things to bomb, like Taliban. Remember, drugs don't kill people, people who have made some money selling drugs to buy guns kill people...

Not all the money goes to "Al Quida"..........
There are people who are simply involved in the heroin business in Afganastan to make money.
Al quida pays protection money just like thugs in the USA pay.
Or perhaps the "Iran-Contra" model is being used.
There are plenty of reasons why the heroin crop has been booming.............

Heh...check your recent history. Somehow, don't ask me how, but a major increase in narcotics trafficking seems to go hand in hand with U.S. military involvement lately. Think Haiti, Panama, Afghanistan. We just dug an old man out of a hole in the middle of nowhere, but there's nothing that can be done about Afghanistan's resurgence to the top of the opium producing list.
