I hardly think his statement was damaging. The only ones that show up are the teacher union members and the members of the AFL-CIO. They know they're a 'special interest group'. Also, I am sure they would rather be hanging out with their kids on Sat morning than doing politics. Even the hard cores would agree with that.

My hope is that he 'controls' the damage enough to continue, but still manages to say something immensely stupid.

Come now, he'll come out and say that Gephart is part of a conspiracy by those in the Democrat party who don't want the people of Iowa to vote for the next President.

Hi Dog. Just checking in briefly, sounds like Clark, Clintoon and Co. are trying to make their move lately. Dizzy's probably starting to feel the heat.

I had the TV on early this am, wasn't watching -- but heard a candidate rattling on, sounding glib, assured, and scary -- like Hitler. Guess who it was! Right. I turned to look, and there was Howie.

Dear Howard:
You might try blaming it on eating a "bad turkey sandwich in Laredo." Hope I at least helped a little bit.

Dean and the press better bring chest waders and be prepared to do a lot of shoveling.
I'm predicting that this is going to get even better. Dean said his latest gaffe on Canadian TV. Every press agency in the country is studying those tapes to see what else they can find.
To: Dog
"Howard will be speaking on his comments about the Iowa Causus. Dean is trying to do damage control.."
This is an oxymoron. For Dean to do damage control, he would have to allow someone else to speak for him to allow for damage control. His part would be to keep his mouth shut.
Blessings, bobo
