I still don't know why his comments are so controversial.

Media wants blood.

BTW, I've read some comments from him in the 90's about Iraq, France, and the like and he was astute. Completely different than his words these days.

They say that Terrell really has the goods on Howie. As if his rabid followers could care less.

Yeah, the 1990's were good years for Dean, then he got the presidential bug and went insane.

There are like 90 tapes of a TV show Howard Dean appeared as a talking head during his time of Gov. The media are treating them like they found the missing 18 minutes from the Watergate tapes..

"I can't stand there and listen to everyone else's opinion for eight hours about how to fix the world," Dean added.

Boy, Mr. Dean; glad to see you are so committed to the process. Heaven forbid that people be required to discuss issues on the merits and give an informed vote versus listening to your distorted soundbites and pulling the lever for you. What a moron.

I might actually respect the guy if he stood by his remarks.

He'll side step and spin his remarks .. like he always does

Hi Dog. Just checking in briefly, sounds like Clark, Clintoon and Co. are trying to make their move lately. Dizzy's probably starting to feel the heat.

Prairie (gee it's nice to be away from news for a little bit sometimes -- heh!)

I had the TV on early this am, wasn't watching -- but heard a candidate rattling on, sounding glib, assured, and scary -- like Hitler. Guess who it was! Right. I turned to look, and there was Howie.

You know what the best part is? Howie's probably going crazy, well, crazier...trying to remember everything he could have said that would tick someone off. Hee hee.

The Clintons fingerprints are all over this one. There will be more on Dean. It will be put out in time for Clark to finish very strong in NH and win SC and then roll into Super Tuesday very strong.

Clark is the nominee.

Clark is the nominee.

Clintons need to sabatoge him as well for Hillary to run in '08.

I think it was also some Candian TV show from the 90's, released, I think, by Lieberman's people 2 or 4 weeks ago. In light of Clinton's 1998 troubles with France blocking enforcement of sanctions Dean commented how France will do everything the opposite of US policy and such.

Clark is the nominee.
I believe you're right. Of course, unless Hillary! is on the ticket, the Clintons will do their best to make sure that Clark loses by a fairly slim margin.

The only possible fly in the ointment is if the Dems don't fabricate enough votes in the primary to ensure that their man wins.

I agree with your assessment, and I thought of the Clinton's when I saw the Drudge headline about special interest $$.

Clark, IMO, is a more formidable candidate than Dean. I can't stand either of them and think they are both deeply flawed, but for the uninformed, Clark looks better.

He's taller (heh), better looking, former NATO commander and thus has the military gravitas (remember that word?), and has the Clinton's behind him. ALso, it's appealing to many of the uninformed that Clark is NOT a politician and Washington insider and thus, they will forgive some of his mistakes.
